Nostalgic

It’s becoming a trend for fashion labels to start collaborating with famous directors to present their new collection thru short movies. Maybe it’s a new PR methodology to get as much exposure out to those film enthusiast. For this clip, Prada has worked with Chinese filmaker Yang Fudong to represent the new direction in its visual communication through a black & white journey in Shanghai during the 30s & 40s. Nicely art directed.

I am extreme delighted to find that there is a new lens out for macro shooting. The story behind the still

As a kid, i love looking through magazines and pictorial books, it’s kinda of interesting for me as i always love to pick random images and weave a story out of it. The enticing part there is always a different story coming out from my imagination with the same image.

An now Cannon came up with the first user-generated HD Video Contest where photographers become filmmakers, and we all see beyond the still. To kick off the contest, Canon asked photographer, Vincent Laforet, to interpret what story lives beyond this still and to tell that story with the new Canon EOS 7D. His will be the first chapter of seven, each ending with a still photograph for the next aspiring filmmaker to interpret. Posing the question to everyone, what do you see beyond the still?

The premise allows users to be as creative as they want, and allows different people from all over the world to influence one another with their perspective.
