Madmen periodic table

The season premiere for every new season of Mad Men tv series is the key to a lot of efforts, that grow bigger as the audience of the series. So if last year it was about madmenizing ourselves, this year we’ve found other stuff, such as:

a periodic table of Mad Men references, to stay updated of everything’s going on (via Flavorwire)

a job interview to find out which job could you be hired at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce

a funny Jib Jab sendable video where you can put-your-picture in a 3-minute piece that tells about the whole story and its characters

Even a webinar reviewing different marketing topics and present both the 1960′s point of view (by Sterling Cooper) and the 2010 point of view (by HubSpot).

UNICEF dirty water vending machine

A thought provoking approach to showcase the importance of clean water. Nice.

Old spice gets personal

After the ever entertaining old spice commercials, they are back and posted another 25 video’s (and counting) in which the Old Spice guy personally thanks online influentials like Ellen DegeneresPerez Hilton and Tim Nudd and random strangers for their link love and comments. And not only by name, but in a real ‘I now who you are, and what you are up to’ kinda way. This single tweet by Kevin Rose, with over a million Twitter followers, shows that this next level social media campaigning works like crazy.

Digital pinball

Love this digital pinball done by DoubleYou for Nike Spain, as a part of their country adaptation for the gigantic Write the future campaign, looks like digital content within an analog containeris becoming kind of cool these days.

Youtube play

Great film from animator Johnny Kelly launching YouTube Play, a collaboration with the Guggenheim Foundation to showcase creative videos from around the world

Billboard yourself

“Billboard yourself, you are made of music” is an interactive installation, what a cool one, fromAlmap/BBDO in Brazil for Billboard Magazine.

Momentos

This is a short-film written and directed by Nuno Rocha for LG Portugal is really touching. The concept, “Life’s good” was the main purpose of this work. Beautifully shot.

The quest

After the amazing spot of Nike – Write The Future, the Adidas mark has just revealed a contender  “The Quest” at the time of the World cup 2010. A presence of Zinédine Zidane and players Ballack, Messi, Kaká, Gourcuff. A work of the agency 180 Amsterdam. Nice story telling, but with a lack of freshness in direction.

Nike abuku

Abuku means bubble in japanese, and that’s the word behind this video coming from W+K Tokyo Lab, in which to emphasize the air (main quality of the product) they decided to create an aquarium inside the shoe. Using real organic life in products is not commonly seen in advertising nowadays, so i am having mixed feelings about this as it seems quite gimmicky yet quite original in thought and creation.

Axe rise up

Axe Rise Up is a shower gel, whose promise is to wake you up, so that you don’t miss any opportunity – in the Axe semantics that means don’t miss the girl. In my opinion, this video is a brilliant and playfull illustration of it. The kind of video one might want to watch twice, with sharing potential.

Text translation :
- Look closely at this guy
- He didn’t notice the 10 beautiful girls around him. Apparently neither did you.
- Wake up and get ready.
