It’s kind of funny how each of us has our own perceptions of loving someone. Some prefer to keep it all to themselves and some prefer to stand on a rooftop and shout it out to the world. Some might even take extreme measures on demanding love from the very person their heart beats for.

For you my friend,  sometimes gestures of “I hate you” can be easily translated into “I love you.” Behind it all could be easily translated to “I hate myself for loving you”. Because it is in those moments,  just you, and him, and the only thing he choose to see, never realizing how foolish it could really be is to “hate” you the way he knows. But nothing feels more real than having a face to face, tear-filled eyes kinda of talk. It makes things easier.

Sydney based graphic designer Linus Dean said goodbye to his traditional graphic design job and started a rug business. And as come to expect, his rugs are type driven, bold and minimal. Love it.

Anomaly have teamed up with some friends and artists from around the world to create a site that enables beautiful designs to be downloaded and folded into origami cranes. For a small donation they ask that you download a design and follow the instructions to make a crane. They would like as many people as possible to fold a crane and then place it somewhere prominent so that it might inspire others to also focus on those in the grip of tragedy.

We Are The Future is our stab at how the next generation could engage with brands. Phd Worldwide made projections on what the media landscape could be like in ten years (based on what we are seeing now) and thought it may be interesting to get the next generation to voice it. So the viewer is confronted by children in their early teens telling today’s marketing community what they will need to do to up their game. It is a provocation and an invitation to the marketing industry to comment (and hopefully debate).

The work of artist Martine Johanna is a intriguing blend of hair, forms and faces that wants to be a slight bit on the darker side of life including – as she says herself – an undertow of sexual tension. She’s a graduate of ArtEZ, the academy of the arts in Arnhem and is represented by illustration agency Shop Around. Truly beautiful work.
