Auditorium Toys

Auditorium Toys are of superb quality. They are unique toys that are quiet, timeless, durable and beautiful — the type of toys that your grandchildren’s grandchildren will love. Each design is carefully handcrafted and engineered in extremely limited, numbered editions in their small studio in Tucson, Arizona, using time honored techniques and tools. Auditorium believes that the slower you put things together, the slower they fall apart.

Designer Brad Denboer couldn’t quite find the toys he dreamed about so he decided to build them himself. Auditorium Toy Co. was founded with the intention of celebrating the elegance of simple designs fabricated by historical craftsmanship.

What I love the most is the nice touch with the booklet the toy comes with implying that we will pass the toy on to other generations. Every previous owner writes their name into the booklet before passing it on. Beautiful.

Shikisai Tee-shirts

The duet of Japanese designers Noto-Fused explores the possibilities of interactivity in term of creation of tee-shirt.

iPad Classic

Got a spare mac classic lying around somewhere? Got an iPad but needed a stand desperately? Maybe you should try converting your old mac classic to hold an ipad. This thing looks awesome and made me wanna grab an ipad now. Sweet

Lomo spinner

This week Lomography will introduce their new Spinner 360 panoramic camera. The fully mechanic camera captures infinite panoramic shots on 35mm film. You just have to pull the trigger cord and the camera does all the rest for you and exposes the full width of a film role. Hmm, making my hands itch of one.

Blumenau

Noch aluminium brief case with “Blumenau” model train set with a high-quality ready assembled summer landscape and pictured background. The ready-to-run route passes over the mountain and winds under the mountain tunnel system. The set includes one locomotive with two carriages supplied (colours may vary).

The “Blumenau” utilizes an integrated 9 volt battery holder and throttle controller. The high quality throttle allows you to control the trains at scale speeds and it is very efficient 37 cm, A Pre-installed adapter socket is included.

The brief case is lockable and keys are supplied. Instuctions included.

Makes me wanna own one of it.

Nike abuku

Abuku means bubble in japanese, and that’s the word behind this video coming from W+K Tokyo Lab, in which to emphasize the air (main quality of the product) they decided to create an aquarium inside the shoe. Using real organic life in products is not commonly seen in advertising nowadays, so i am having mixed feelings about this as it seems quite gimmicky yet quite original in thought and creation.

Norman-Copenhagen bike

Design house Norman-Copenhagen has been around now for more than a decade giving the world a mix of traditional and non-traditional products for everyday use. Their latest venture leads into the fascinating world of bicycles which is designed by Anne Lehmanne. As mentioned by the company, it is a classic man’s bike with an urbane style. It has a 50’s inspired lightness and comes in two colors: antrhacite grey and green. Limited to 50, each bike has been hand built by professional cycle builders. They will be sold from October 2010 through the Norman Copenhagen Flagship Store, through their online shop, and selected stores worldwide.

This is going into my top ten list.

Timber Table

Timber is a beauty of a table that doesn’t need any tools for assembly. (See video below). Designed by Julian Kyhl.

Photopaddles

Photopaddles are the new super low-tech, pocket sized camera-phone accessory. Position the Photopaddle between your camera phone and subject to “accessorize” you friends. Made me smile.

Living furniture

Paris-based Arthur Bodolec’s Jack chairs are “furniture that comes alive.” It’s a bit difficult to convey the coolness with still photos, so check out the vid.
