To show the world its commitment to deliver a quick and personal replies to consumers who get in touch via social media, the Dutch carrier has come up with a sweet idea: 140 characters, 140 KLM employees. Normal Facebook and Twitter typed responses have been replaced with a living alphabet made up of 140 KLM employees.

For 12 hours KLM employees in an hangar at the Schiphol airport have been composing live messages in reply to consumers’ questions submitted in form of tweet or post. Below, for example, you can see their reply to the popular blog Dutch Cowboys.

Twilight actress Nikki Reed asks that everyone actually Give a Shit, on behalf of give-a-shit.org. Go to http://www.give-a-shit.org to find out how you can help spread the Give a Shit movement. As with all good social media campaigns you can earn badges in the form of shiticons, a shitometer measures the amount of shit people give and the logo clearly hints at a “shit ribbon” being available (Yikes!).

Have you ever wanted to demonstrate sarcasm in an e mail, tweet or in a Facebook post? Well three New York interns working at Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) are trying to make this possible with the introduction of Sartalics, a font to signify a sarcastic tone.

In order to give this movement the best possible chance they are petitioning to get 10,000 people to sign up in order to ignite a mass tweet. Using Twitterblitz for Sartalics, an app that will allow thousands of tweets to be sent from different accounts all at once, will ensure that Sartalics becomes a trending Twitter topic. People can sign up on Sartalics.com where they can allow access to the app. Twitterblitz will tweet out to “all of internet’s biggest players” including executives at Google, Twitter, Facebook, Microsoft, Tumblr, Yahoo and Apple letting them know about Sartalics.
